Rebecca's love for music and teaching children started at a young age. Each Christmas, her parents would surprise her with a new instrument for her to learn, including the harp, guitar, violin, piano, and autoharp! She developed a passion for singing and playing her many instruments as a young girl, and along with her sisters, would travel around performing in many different venues.
Rebecca finds much happiness in teaching children. After graduating from the University of Utah in Elementary Education and with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education, she taught 12 1/2 years as a first grade and kindergarten teacher, and 2 years as a private guitar teacher. She is currently teaching her 10th year as a preschool teacher at Palmer Preschool and her 17th year at her Palmer Summer Learning Camp Adventures.
Rebecca is a very loving, positive, energetic teacher. The combination of her love of music and children, with her many years of experience, makes Rebecca a perfect teacher to help your child blossom as they begin their own musical journey with Sound Beginnings and Let's Play Music!
